Last summer I had the great opportunity to do research with the Computational Imaging Group at Washington University in St. Louis. I developed machine learning algorithms for image restoration, this basically helps to remove noise out of images. Dictionary Learning (which is what my project was based on) was a completely new topic for me, however I was able to accomplish a succesful summer at this great institution. Besides doing research I also had a great time at the St. Louis area, where I met amazing new people that carry on a similar mentality as mine. Overall GREAT SUMMER!
Being part of a HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) is an experience that cannot be described, the quality of people and the education obtained at these institutions are unique. My HBCU helped me to be the man I am today, it has influenced my career as well as my personality and values. Benedict College, has given me a lot of opportunities since the beginning of my college life. One example of this is that I started my journey into research the summer of my freshman year. Since then I have been part of two different projects:
My goal is to become a Software Engineer at one of the biggest technology companies.
I love coding and learning new technologies. I want to use this passion to create innovative products that will impact people all around the world.
By choosing computer engineering as an undergraduate student, I believe I am a more complete engineer and computer scientist since I feel comfortable with both hardware and sofware of a computer.
I enjoy watching movies, spending time with family/friends and love playing soccer.
